This project involved the construction of a new 160,000-square-foot Amazon facility in Littleton, Massachusetts. The work included the installation of erosion control with a turtle barrier and the removal of all existing utilities and asphalt from the sites. Unsuitable materials were removed and replaced beneath the new building footprint to ensure a solid foundation.
The site infrastructure work included the installation of 2,600 linear feet of 8-inch waterline and 4,680 linear feet of drainage pipe ranging from 12 to 30 inches. A total of 27 drain manholes and 36 catch basins were constructed. Additionally, a new 8-inch internal diameter wet well and pump station were installed, along with two new forced main septic systems.
Other improvements included the installation of 9,180 linear feet of granite curbing and 44,925 square feet of sidewalk. The project also featured the construction of 96 light pole bases, 10,000 linear feet of site lighting, and new electric and telecom manholes and duct banks. Lastly, 52,000 square yards of asphalt paving were completed to finish the site.
